Hello,
I am seeking a professional with expertise in CAD to convert hand-drawn architectural floorplans of a personal home into digital CAD format. Please note that we originally purchased a home floor plan that had a CAD file and then someone adjusted those floorplans for us with a hand drawing. The changes to with hand drawing were done by a professional architect.
We would share the original CAD file with you (in stb47.dwg format) and you would just need to adjust based on the hand drawings we provide you (in PDF format). Thus, you will not be working from scratch.
This is a three story house that is approximately 3,000 square feet.
Project Requirements:
Update the CAD file based on hand drawings: The hand-drawn plans include details of all rooms, elevations, and sections. These need to be accurately translated into CAD.
Scaling and Precision: The conversion should ensure that all elements are drawn to scale and precisely reflect the dimensions given in the hand-drawn plans.
Annotations and Detailing: Clear notes, dimensions, labels, and details should be added to the drawings as provided in the hand-drawn version.
File Management: The final drawings should be organized logically and provided in both the native CAD format (.dwg or similar) and as a PDF.
Qualifications Required:
Proven experience in converting hand-drawn plans to CAD with a portfolio showcasing past projects.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication skills to clarify any uncertainties and provide progress updates.
Familiarity with architectural terminologies and best practices.
Project Timeline:
I am looking to have this project completed within one week from the start date. Please provide an estimate of the time you would require.
Additional Notes:
The successful candidate should already have access to the necessary CAD software. The final CAD files can be transferred via a cloud storage platform (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive) or another secure file transfer method.
