Role Overview:
As our Bookkeeper/Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records with precision and timeliness. Your primary responsibility will be to categorize our incomes and expenses using Moneybird software to enable timely financial reports that guide our strategic and budgeting decisions. Ensuring proper accounting of VAT, VAT declarations, keeping track of VAT and payroll tax returns is also essential. Our accounts receivables are automated through our renovation platform and payment processor, which integrates seamlessly with Moneybird books transactions automatically and makes things easier.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts payable & accounts receivable:
– Process all the incoming invoices in Moneybird accounting software.
– Maintain accurate records of all transactions by linking bank transactions to invoices and booking VAT for each transaction.
Financial reporting
– Categorize all financial transactions to enable balance sheet, cash flow statement, income statement, and VAT reports on Moneybird
– Ensure invoices and transactions are processed at least twice a week to update financial reports that guide strategic decisions.
– Monitor and report on the company’s financial health.
– Work closely with the management team to provide financial insights.
Taxes
– Properly account for VAT tax to ensure accurate capital availability.
– Ensure VAT declarations, VAT returns, and payroll tax returns are processed on time.
– Ensure all financial processes comply with legal requirements.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
– (Preferably) Familiarity with Moneybird accounting software.
– Strong understanding of VAT and payroll tax regulations.
– Excellent attention to detail.
– Proactiveness, ability to think and work independently.
Working Hours:
10 hours per week to start with since our volume of invoices is very low at the moment. Looking to increase this soon as the volume increases.
