Ecommerce Catalog Analyst for Car Parts – Upwork


The Ecommerce Catalog Analyst is responsible for creating, maintaining, and auditing automotive product fitment data stored in our digital catalog. This role supports the launch of new products and the maintenance of existing products. It ensures that product, catalog and fitment data is accurately displayed online to help optimize listings and implement strategies to enhance the online shopping experience.

Responsibilities:
• Play a key role in Partsterr’s catalog team and continue to enhance our products and catalogs across all sales channels.
• Create, maintain, and optimize product listings, including SEO optimization, compelling descriptions, high-quality images and price.
• Ensure product information is clear, accurate, and engaging to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Create, upload, and manage existing eCatalog product content with a focus on automotive product fitment, including year, make, model, and product attribute data.
• Collaborate and work closely with existing Catalog operations teams to evaluate what’s working and what’s not. Evaluate product listing data quality and benchmark against best practices in the automotive industry.
• Develop and enhance Value Add content to product listings, including digital assets, marketing copy for product titles and descriptions, products features and benefits, and attribute specifications.
• Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to ensure product listings are optimized for search and conversion.
• Ensure product performance and reviews are optimized to maintain a positive reputation and drive customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field.
• Understanding of eCommerce best practices and trends in listing creation and management.
• Familiarity with Shopify, 3rd party marketplaces and similar platforms preferred.
• Attention to detail – we’re working with large data sets (hundreds of thousands of products for tens of thousands of vehicles, each with specifications, images, attributes, and features & benefits), and need to be extremely careful to avoid any mistakes.
• Previous experience in e-Catalog content processing a plus.
• Proficiency in using Excel and strong technical skills in acquiring and managing large amounts of product information through importing and exporting processes.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics, derive insights, and make informed recommendations.
• A+ communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating across internal teams.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Passion for cars and automotive industry knowledge is highly desirable.

Helpful (But Not Required):
• Automotive knowledge, especially hands-on repair experience.
• Knowledge of automotive cataloging and understanding of ACES and PIES automotive fitment data.
• Previous employment in a similar “jack of all trades” E-Commerce specialist type role.
• Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing strategies.
• Competence with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or other web design languages.
• Experience with tools to gain insight from data too large and complex to review in Excel (SQL, R, Perl, Python, etc.).

Hourly Range: $10.00-$30.00
