We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Seoul Trip Itinerary Specialist to assist a couple in planning their upcoming trip to Seoul, South Korea, from May 21st to May 27th, 2024.
About the Role
In this part-time role, you will leverage your local expertise and Korean language proficiency to craft a personalized itinerary packed with cultural immersion, culinary delights, and exciting entertainment. You’ll act as the couple’s virtual guide, handling everything from restaurant reservations and transportation bookings to securing tour guides and suggesting hidden gems off the beaten path.
Responsibilities
Itinerary Planning:
Collaborate with the couple to understand their interests, preferences, and travel style.
Develop a customized daily itinerary suggesting must-see attractions, unique experiences, and hidden gems.
Balance sightseeing with opportunities for relaxation and cultural immersion.
Logistics & Bookings:
Research and book trains (if needed) based on the couple’s preferences and budget.
Recommend and book comfortable and well-located accommodation options.
Secure restaurant reservations at acclaimed and authentic eateries.
Arrange for reliable and efficient transportation (taxis, airport transfers, etc.).
Assist with booking tours, activities, and entertainment options (shows, performances, etc.) based on the couple’s interests.
Research and arrange for knowledgeable and engaging tour guides (English-speaking preferred).
Communication & Support:
Maintain clear and consistent communication with the couple throughout the planning process.
Respond promptly to any questions or concerns they may have.
Provide recommendations and resources for additional activities or experiences.
Offer general advice and insights to navigate Seoul confidently (etiquette, cultural norms, etc.).
Qualifications
Local Expertise: Deep understanding of Seoul’s neighborhoods, attractions, hidden gems, and cultural scene.
Korean Fluency: Excellent spoken and written Korean language skills to effectively communicate with locals and secure bookings.
Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey information and ideas.
Travel Enthusiasm: Passionate about travel and creating unique and memorable experiences for others.
Bonus Points
Experience in travel planning or a related field.
Familiarity with booking systems and online resources used in Korea.
Ability to anticipate potential challenges and provide solutions.
Positive and proactive attitude with a strong sense of initiative.
Compensation:
This is a part-time, project-based role. Competitive compensation will be offered commensurate with experience.
