Must have experience reading and interpreting building codes and legislation
Must be assertive and confident
Detail oriented
Well-versed in Microsoft 365
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Law. Any courses related to those mention are also welcome to apply.
Civil Engineering and Law students are welcome to apply as well.
Can work 15 to 20 hours a week
Tasks & responsibilities
Prepare and lodge Building and Development Applications to the Planning Department of the Australian Capital Territory
Lodge compliance applications to utility entities
Understand and apply ever-changing legislation to developments to ensure we design legally conformant projects
Communicate and debate with government entities to fight for the interest of our clients
Convey information to clients relating to their project’s timelines, processes, compliances, etc.
Assess project plans against legislation and controls set out by the Planning Department
Create amendments to submitted Building and Development Approvals
Prepare applications for Certificates of Occupancy and Use
Carry out tasks by utilising our company database developed to assist you as planning manager
