We are in process of making a Plastic Product for which we have a rough drawing/idea.A rough idea about the product is that the product is a plastic profile that should be able to hold(or staple) 0.5mm sheet.This profile should be rested/connected to another profile.I will explain in detail before starting project.Its a very simple project but we want you to make the product manufacturing worthy by applying your experience in designing.
You should apply your experience to decide thickness,curve,design etc to make product durable,attractive,enable high volume manufacturing etc.Your creativity backed by technical knowledge should help product to be manufacturing friendly, modular(meaning repair can be done easily) and attractive.
The entire product is estimated to be made of 4 simple parts which either be fitted togther by bolts/screw or it should have interlocking mechansim(Need your analysis and recommnedation).3parts are simple profile and 1 part is a simple sheet.We need to design in such way that all products can be manufactured on plastic extrusion machine.We will provide product dimension and requirement before starting the project.
One design challenge is that All parts should have interlocking design or else you should specify process for connecting those parts in detail.This is to ensure ease in manufacturing. These parts are expected to be made of rigid plastic and
you need to create 3D CAD design and 2D drawing for same.You must have a licensed software.
Pre conditions
1.NDA(non disclosure) is part and parcel of the project and shall be done prior to starting project.
2.Original CAD files are required.
3.You(or your team) agree that all intellectual property rights of the project shall exclusively rest with us.
4.Revisions to be done as when required
