As a growing medical facility in the United States, we are recruiting for our team to include avirtual medical assistant. This is a virtual (live) position at our Cancer Center.
The qualified individual will work remotely from home to help with live tasks which would otherwise be completed by on-site medical assistants.
The video-interaction tasks will include the following:
1. Update patient telephone number and home address
2. Update medications (review them with patient; may have to go slow and spell them out)
3. Review allergies and update reactions to medications or other allergens
4. Update their primary and specialty doctors in the chart
5. Ask for any new symptoms
6. After full intake is done (can take anywhere from 4 to 12 minutes depending on patient), then send a message to the doctor that the patient is ready in the room to be seen.
Individuals who are already in healthcare are encouraged to apply, but training will be provided if you have limited health care experience.
We are seeking a candidate who is fluent in both Spanish and English to assist with medical translation
We will provide the appropriate and necessary training and shadowing to provide a successful on-boarding and perpetual success of our newest team member. All of our team members are employed for more than 32 hours per week and most of them are long-term employees (20 months and ongoing). Please note that this position does require the VA to be available between approximately 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Monday-Friday (Arizona Time GMT-07:00). A meal break is provided and coordinated with the team.
