Virtual Assistant for Local Marketing and Social Media Engagement – Upwork

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to join our team as a local marketing assistant for our restaurant franchise. The ideal candidate will have experience in social media marketing, particularly within local and community groups, and be familiar with the dynamics of the DMV area, including Facebook groups like DMV Desis, Nova Desis, and similar communities.

Responsibilities:

Create and schedule engaging posts about our specials, promotions, and menu offerings in various local Facebook groups.
Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media in a timely and professional manner.
Develop and execute local marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive foot traffic to our location.
Track and analyze the performance of social media posts and marketing campaigns, providing regular reports on their effectiveness.
Collaborate with the franchise owner to brainstorm new ideas for promotions and community engagement.
Maintain a consistent brand voice and ensure all marketing materials align with the franchise’s standards and values.
Requirements:

Proven experience in social media marketing, particularly within Facebook groups and local communities.
Strong understanding of the DMV area and its local dynamics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Creative mindset with a knack for developing engaging and eye-catching content.
Familiarity with social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to improve marketing strategies.
Prior experience working with a franchise or in the food and beverage industry is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Spark.
Basic knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
Previous experience in a virtual assistant role.
